EVSE LLC’s 3722 Garage Overhead Charger and 3704 AutoCoil Charger are equipped with a state-of-the-art automatic electronic cable management system. The fully retractable power cable and connector are stored within the units when not in use and locked in place. This protects the equipment from harsh weather and vandals as well as ensures OSHA compliance at the workplace, which mandates keeping live cables off the ground.
When the power button is pressed and a valid charge activation is received, the charger cables come to the customer, eliminating the need for unwrapping them from the charging station or picking them up off the ground. The user then extends the cable to the required length and plugs it into the vehicle.
On the 3722, the smart connector automatically lowers to the ADA-compliant level of 48 inches above the ground. As the cable lowers, it’s free to extend up to 20 feet to ensure connection to the electric vehicle whether the receptacle is on the nose, near the driver-side rear-view mirror, or on the rear quarter panels. EVSE’s electronic cable management system automatically retracts the cable to the stored position when the cable is disconnected from the vehicle.
